Dear Deb, I recently had sex with this guy, a one-night stand, and I haven't heard from him at all. What am I supposed to do now? - Marie

ANSWER

Dear Marie, Don't do anything. One night stands are called so for a reason, and it's not about return phone calls and follow-up dates. They can be fun if you're just looking for a no-strings-attached sexual encounter, as long as you both play safely. One night stands are not usually more involved than that, so don't try to overanalyze the situation. It was what it was. If you're looking for is a serious relationship, my input, a bit on the conservative side, is not to have sex on your first date/meeting/night out. Cheers, Deb
